In this event, we are going to present and discuss the main findings and policy implications of the European research project SOPHIE. We will present new evidence on the health equity impacts of policies that shape people's living circumstances, including macroeconomics (economic cycles, fiscal policies), social protection (unemployment benefits, family policies), labour market (active labour market policies, employment relations), built and social environment (urban renewal, urban planning, neighbourhood safety), housing (housing systems, social accommodations, building retrofitting) and gender equity.
